It’s hard to believe that two days from now I will be boarding a flight to Tanzania! I’m excited and nervous … and running out of time! Since the last day of student teaching I’ve not had one hour of free time yet; all the doctors and dentist appointments that I’ve postponed have been catching up to me these last two weeks. Then there’s my other jobs that I have to keep up with: mother, wife, soldier.
As busy as I am, I am making it a point to spend time with with my family. Shopping and packing has become a family event and I wouldn’t have it any other way! My family has been very supportive and has done everything to make this trip a success.
I look forward to meeting my students, being immersed in a new culture … and sleeping on the plane!
